Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data, solely for the operation of the application:
- Identity: first name, last name, email address, and phone number — required to create and manage your account.
- Contacts: names and phone numbers from your contacts — synced with your account to identify callers. Only names and phone numbers are transmitted; no other contact data (email, address, photo) is collected.
- Audio data: call recordings — collected only when you enable recording (manually or via the automatic recording option). Recordings may be analyzed to provide coaching and conversation analysis features.
- Profile photo: an image you choose to upload to personalize your profile. Optional.
- Technical identifiers: user ID, device ID, and push notification tokens — required for authentication, application functionality, and incoming call delivery.
- Diagnostic data: crash reports, performance data, and error logs — collected automatically to improve application stability and quality. This data is not linked to your identity.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively for:
- Making and receiving VoIP calls
- Syncing your contacts to identify callers
- Recording and analyzing calls when you enable this feature
- Managing your profile and account
- Sending push notifications for incoming calls
- Improving application stability and performance
Call Recording
Call recording is never enabled by default.
Automatic recording: you can enable this option in the application settings. By enabling it, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of all participants before each recorded call.
Manual recording: you can start a recording during an ongoing call. A prompt reminds you to obtain consent from the other party.
Recordings are stored securely and accessible only by you and authorized members of your organization.
Artificial Intelligence Processing
Bloom AI offers AI-powered analysis, coaching, and meeting preparation features. These features use third-party AI services to process certain data.
The following data may be sent to AI services: call transcriptions, structured call history, meeting objectives, coaching keywords, and contextual information (company name, city, country).
OpenAI, LLC: processes transcriptions and contextual information to generate personalized analysis, coaching, and meeting preparation.
Data is sent exclusively to provide the requested features. Provider handling of that data is governed by the contractual terms and policies applicable to their commercial APIs.
You can enable or disable these features in Settings > Preferences > AI Analysis. Disabling does not affect core calling features.
The list of AI providers is updated on this page when new services are added.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services for the operation of the application:
- Vonage (Ericsson): VoIP infrastructure — processes audio data in transit to route your calls.
- OpenAI, LLC: artificial intelligence processing — processes transcriptions and contextual data to generate analysis, coaching, and meeting preparation.
- Sentry: error tracking and diagnostics — receives crash reports and performance data. This data is not linked to your identity.
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data for advertising or commercial purposes.
Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. All communications between the application and our servers are encrypted (TLS/HTTPS). Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel. Audio recordings are stored in a secure object storage system with controlled access.
Data Retention
Your personal data is retained as long as your account is active.
After account deletion: your personal data (name, email, phone) is anonymized immediately. Your business data (call history, recordings) is retained for a limited period and then permanently purged.
Diagnostic data (crash reports) is retained according to Sentry's retention policies and is not linked to your identity.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account directly in the application: Settings → My Account → Delete my account.
Deletion results in: revocation of all your access, anonymization of your personal data, deletion of your profile photo, and release of your resources (seat, phone number).
If you are the sole owner of your organization, you must first transfer ownership to another member.
You can also request account deletion by email at [email protected] or via our account deletion page.
Your Rights
Under Quebec's Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information (Law 25) and applicable laws, you have the following rights:
- Access: obtain a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request the erasure of your personal data.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Consent withdrawal: withdraw your consent at any time for processing based on consent.
To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
