Connect Salesforce to Bloom AI
From preparing Salesforce to your first synced calls: install the app, connect your team, then choose your rules.
Set up
Before you start
Two checks on each side, and most blockers are out of the way.
In Bloom AI
- You are an owner or an admin of the organization.
- The organization has a paid plan or an active trial.
In Salesforce
- You are a Salesforce admin, or an admin can install the Bloom AI package and prepare the connecting account’s permissions.
- Your Salesforce organization is not linked to another Bloom AI organization.
Bloom AI records calls as completed activities and meetings as events. API access and the Bloom AI package are required.
Set up
Prepare Salesforce
Done in
Salesforce
An admin installs the app, then prepares the account that will connect the whole team.
-
Install the Bloom AI package
Ask our team for the installation link. A Salesforce admin installs the package in the organization you want to connect.
-
Check the account’s permissions
The connecting account needs API access, read access to contacts, leads and users, and permission to create, read and delete the team’s activities. Contact creation is only needed if you enable it in Bloom AI.
-
Keep the package fields
Bloom_Record_Key__c must be accessible on calls, events and contacts, with unique values and an external ID. Bloom AI checks it when you connect.
An account that can see the whole team
Bloom AI acts with the connecting account’s permissions. Limited access may prevent finding contacts or assigning activities to the right rep.

Default Hold
-
Number not in Salesforce
Ask someone to choose the right record, or create a contact if you allow it.
Default Rep chooses
Who can pick a contact?
Owners and admins handle the whole queue. A rep can also pick the contact for one of their own blocked calls.
Understand
How Bloom AI finds the right contact
Bloom AI searches for the number among Salesforce contacts and Salesforce leads.
-
The rep, by email
The rep is linked to their Salesforce user by email. An admin can adjust this link.
-
The contact, by phone number
Bloom AI links the call to the record matching the phone number. An ambiguous number waits for your choice in Needs attention.
-
An unknown number
Choose an existing contact or lead, or allow contact creation in Rules. Existing leads are never modified.
Understand
What Bloom AI creates in Salesforce
The conversation details and recap, on the right record.
-
A completed call
On the right contact record, assigned to the rep: direction, date, duration, outcome and AI recap.
-
One event per meeting
The title, times and recap appear in a Salesforce event linked to the right record and assigned to the rep.
-
A contact, if you allow it
Only for an unknown number and with your permission: first name, last name and phone. Existing contacts are not modified.
-
A reference that prevents duplicates
The package provides a unique key on activities and contacts. The same conversation cannot be created twice under this key.
-
Deletion when you delete the call
When you manually delete a call in Bloom AI, its activity is deleted in Salesforce. Contacts are never deleted.
Recordings, transcripts and scores stay in Bloom AI. Calls are completed tasks of type Call, meetings are events; no additional follow-up tasks are created.
Keep permissions and references
If required access or a reference is removed, Bloom AI may hold the sync. Fix the cause and retry from Needs attention.
Understand
Requested access
The requested access is used to put recaps on the right records.
-
api
Find contacts and leads, read users and create activities with the connecting account’s permissions.
-
refresh_token
Keep syncing when nobody is signed in to Bloom AI.
Bloom AI never has more permissions than the account that connects it. Your database is never copied.

Disconnect Salesforce
-
From Bloom AI
In Integrations, click Disconnect. Bloom AI revokes and forgets its access. Existing activities remain in Salesforce; pending operations are abandoned.
-
If access is removed in the CRM
Bloom AI shows Reconnection needed and emails you. Reconnect from Integrations to resume pending syncs.
-
After a disconnection
Syncing restarts from the new connection. Conversations during the gap are not sent.
